Platypus Editing Suites
Platypus Productions works on the latest Avid Xpress Pro software in 4 Edit Suites. These 4 suites are linked together through the Avid Unity Network that allows all media to be stored in one central location. The benefits of the system allow for flexibility and mult-tasking on any project because more then one edit station can be working on different aspects of a project at the same time.
Our main suite has remote access to our 3 Beta and 3 Digibeta decks for digitizing and mastering to tape with frame accuracy. This suite has a comfortable couch, Wi-Fi Internet, and a large TV monitor to make those long edit sessions comfortable. With a Dual-Processor computer and lots of RAM, rendering time is extremely fast.
Platypus Productions has a large selection of pre-assembled audio tracks, background graphics, lower thirds, transition tools, and more to make any project look professional and polished. If your needs are more specific, Platypus Productions also has its own graphics department that is linked to the AVID Unity Network, allowing for speedy transfer of graphics. The department has capability to create graphics on the latest versions of PhotoShop and After Effects or integrate existing graphics to a custom look.
