BOOK DRIVE WXEL TV & Boynton Reads, join forces to improve the literacy of young children with a two-month book drive from November 16, 2012 through January 8, 2013. The kick-off is scheduled to be held November 16, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at WXEL TV Studios, 3401 S. Congress Ave. in Boynton Beach and will highlight the first donation of new books for the drive and a light reception for the partners supporting the Holiday Book Drive. The Challenge is an annual competition to motivate interest in STEM learning among America’s youth by tapping into students’ natural passion for playing and making video games.  ...more... Eisenhower Elementary Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast Earhtfest Celebration The Mission of the Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast  is to offer Children’s and families a place to explore and learn through hands on activities, educational programs and cultural experiences. The Children’s Museum is dedicated to providing a safe state of the art environment where curiosity and self confidence are fostered. Pahokee Reads! Pahokee Reads was a free event for the community held at Pahokee Elementary School , the objective of this initiative was to educate parents about the importance of reading. The event was held on March 5, 2011. Literacy Day 2010 WXEL and many other participants from all the Family Literacy Programs in Palm Beach County got together in Palm Beach Gardens to celebrate Literacy Day. The event's purpose is to encourage families to read together and promote education.
