South Florida PBS - Be My Neighbor Day at the Ballpark
Palm Beach, FL: South Florida PBS (WXEL and WPBT2) invites the entire Palm Beach community to visit Roger Dean Stadium for a wonderful complimentary family event, South Florida PBS - Be My Neighbor Day at the Ballpark, Powered by: PNC Grow Up Great! and South Florida PBS, on Saturday, August 12th, beginning at 4:00 PM when the gates open.
The event will consist of an exciting baseball game between Jupiter Hammerheads and The Florida Fire Frogs and lots of fun pre-game activities.
Guess who will be throwing the first pitch of the game? That’s right…Daniel Tiger! Additionally, children will have the opportunity to meet and have their picture taken with PBS stars, Daniel Tiger and his friend Katerina Kittycat before the game. They will also enjoy hands-on and interactive activities such as creating something special and useful for their neighborhood with re-usable materials from Resource Depot. For their caring neighborly work, the children will be rewarded with gift bags filled with educational and useful back-to-school goodies.
So how can you be a caring neighbor? Come out to Roger Dean Stadium on August 12th and enjoy this fun family event! Another way to be a GREAT CARING neighbor is to bring gently used or new school supplies as a donation and Resource Depot will make them available to the teachers, educators and parents in our community so they can stock up for the 2017-2018 school year.
